Zoya Charla & Zoya Raven

I thought about going with plain black this week but decided to see what it would look like with Charla over it. I have to say, I'm in love :)

Sobe LifeWater - Flavor With Benefits

To start off, I'm not a fan of sports drinks. They taste salty and if I wanted that I'd put salt in my kool aid. I don't like tap water because (ironically enough) it never seems to quench my thirst. So I usually stick with flavored waters. I've tried a few different kinds but was still a little meh about them.

Recently BzzAgent launched a Sobe LifeWater campaign and I decided to give it a go. I received a free bottle of the product, a coupon for another free bottle and some coupons to share.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about them because I've heard quite a few people say that coconut water was nasty but I was surprised. I received the Pomegranate Nectarine flavor and I really enjoy it. Tonight at the grocery store I tried Mango Mandarin and it tastes just as good.

Sobe LifeWater has 80 calories per 20oz bottle. It's flavor isn't overpowering or too weak. It seems they have managed to get just the right amount.
The Pomegranate Nectarine is still my favorite. So far I've seen three flavors. Pomegranate Nectarine, Mango Mandarin and Pacific Coconut. I'm not a fan of coconut flavorings so I skipped on that one. Tonight, I picked up 5 bottles. I like to cut myself off from caffeine at night and this is perfect.

Have you tried Sobe LifeWater? Are you a fan of the Sobe line of drinks?

(Disclaimer: these items were sent to me by BzzAgent to evaluate. I don't get paid and the opinions herein are 100% mine)

Mani of the Day

In case you can't tell, I'm in love with the Kiss Nail Dress. Here are some pictures of Camisole on my nails. I absolutely love this design. I'm going to have to buy more.

Two pics with flash, one without. I don't know if you can see the glitter because it's fairly subtle but it's adorable.

Black Mani Update

I decide to show an example of one of the Kiss Nail Dress designs. I added an accent nail to my regular black mani. This design is actually a zebra print but the stripes that would usually be white are clear, so all you see over the black is the design.

Now this time, it didn't last as long as usual. I'm thinking it's because I used it over nail polish and that changed how it adhered. So if you're going to attempt this, I'd just do it for maybe a night out and count on it coming loose after a day or so.

Next up, glittery zebra print :)

(I bought these on my own [and for only $3 at that!] and am not compensated for posts.)

Kiss Goodies

As an Influenster I recently got to participate in the Valentine's Day LoveVoxBox. One of the items sent to me was from Kiss Products.

I have a recent post showing the style I got and completely fawning over how pretty they are and how easy to apply. By earning the Kiss badge I got some freebies sent to me. They came in the mail today.

I've been using the Kiss Nail Dress ever since the LoveVoxBox so I thought I already had the design they sent me but lucky me, it's one I've never tried!

I also received some Kiss Nail Artist Metallics. It's basically cute stud nail art. Without the mess. I haven't used them yet but I can't wait.

As for the Nail Dress, well I'm sure it will be on my nails within a couple of days :) I received Nail Dress design Camisole which is a zebra print with glitter accents. Everything you need for application is right inside of the box.

I'm pretty excited to try my new goodies out and see how they look!

Do you use Kiss products? What are your favorites? You can find them at www.kissnaildress.com and www.kissusa.com. Also available in many drug stores.

Disclaimer: I won these from a contest. I was not compensated in any way for my post.

Plain Black Mani

It's been a while since I've posted. No motivation is a killer. This is just a plain black mani I did yesterday. It fits my mood this week. I used Sinful Colors. In the picture I'm holding one of my favorite perfumes, Lucky.

I just got some Kiss Products in the mail I won from a contest so I may add some rhinestones or a little flair if my mood picks up.

I paid for everything in this post. If you want to check out Kiss Nail Products go to www.kissusa.com.

Kiss Nail Dress

I recently was lucky enough to be included in Influenster's (www.influenster.com) Valentine's Day Love Vox Box program. Included were some yummy products and some products to get you date ready. One of them was a nail product made by Kiss called Nail Dress.

Originally, I had passed these over in stores assuming they would be just like fake nails. I've always had trouble with fake nails. They either pop off or I can't get them to come off without tearing up my nails. It sounds a little strange, stickers for your nails. Who would expect them to be anything other than a novelty? Well, I've been converted!

I received the leopard print nail dress to try out and I LOVE them. They're easy to apply. You just determine which nail dress fits each individual nail, peel them off the clear back, place them onto your nail and smooth down from the center. If you have excess hanging over the free edge of your nail, fold it over and use the included file to file it off. Voila! You're done. No dry time, no mess and no fumes. The product does have a slight vinyl smell to it but it's nowhere near the smell you get from traditional nail polishes. No worrying about getting your cuticles messy, no need for cleaning up around your nails afterwards. As soon as you get all of your nails covered you're ready to go.

My first application last me three days. They would have stayed on longer but my tips were getting a little faded looking to me and I decided to go ahead and change them. Mind you, I have a three year old so that means it survived many, many hand washings and bath time. I can't wait to get to the store and snag some of the other designs. There's a pink zebra print with rhinestones that is just screaming my name!

The product:

A little bit of info straight from Kiss themselves:

Finally

Yay! I finally have something I can use to access the internet when my little monster is hogging the computer. Maybe now I'll be able to get more blogging done. I'm going to try to update more with progress on projects and on some other goodies. Stay tuned :)

FO: Lavender Bunny

I made this bunny for a friend of mine who is due to have her first baby girl in march. I used Vanna's Choice and some stash yarn I had laying around.

The pattern can be found at http://www.rheathaylia.com. I've made three of these but my daughter took over the first two. I love this one!

FO: Crochet Striped Beanies

I got on a hat kick a little while ago and made a few hats. My sister got a penguin Earflap hat, mom got a crimson and cream slouchy hat and Katie got a brown slouchy hat.

I made these two hats with no one particular in mind, just as an attempt to use up some of my stash (so I could buy more of course!) I believe they're made with Red Heart Super Saver Yarn and even though they started off a little scratchy one go round in the washer and dryer has them softened up a little.

Ok onto the pictures. I don't have a picture of anyone wearing the black striped one but I used the same basic beanie pattern.

NOTW. Sinful Colors

I went to get my nails done and really didn't like the job they did, so I came and changed the polish.
Today I decided to go with Sinful Colors Black on Black.
Pictures are with and without flash. I did my best to clean them up but this is a fairly thick polish that can be a little hard to work with. My paintbrush wasn't stiff enough :/
Anyway, here's my nail of the week.

FO: Wrist Warmers

I've been saying forever that I'd make a pair of wrist warmers or fingerless gloves and never have. I needed a break from my dream catcher afghan so I searched out a pattern I could work up quickly.

I'm not sure what yarn this is. I bought it a long time ago and was frustrated with it (the color strips off easily) so I never used it. I believe it's a Chenille. I love the hot pink color and BONUS it's actually warm.

I messed up a little sewing the seams together (the top of one is the bottom of other and that made it tight instead of stretchy) but they're too cute for me to care.

I'm working on an ear warmer to match but it's slow going. Between my daughter and my cats, yarn work is a fight around here!

Zoya - Adina

I thought I'd post a couple of pictures of my most recent nail color. I went and got my nails done this past weekend and after about a week I was tired of it. So I decided to throw some Zoya Nail Polish in Adina on them. I love this color. The purple and green duo chrome is gorgeous. Sometimes I just stare at my nails like a big goober. I'm sure it will last only a couple of days and I'll switch to something new but for now, I'm in love.

With flash

Without flash and indoors. Isn't it gorgeous?? (I am not in anyway affiliated with Zoya. I bought all polishes with my own money.)

FO: Beret/Slouchy Hat

Not my latest, but second to most recent finished object. A combination of Lion's Brand Wool Ease Thick 'N Quick and a yarn from Michael's I can't recall the name of right now. 3 mannequin pics, on of me modeling.

Bonus for my New Year Mani

I love stumbling onto surprises. Tonight I learned that my mani glows under blacklight :)

And that means I'll be doing many more because I love neon colors under blacklight.

New Year's Mani

Boredom tonight led me to drag out some of my polishes and see what I could do. My little experiment ended up like this.

I tried to make every nail a little different, just to see what I could do.
The base is Sinful Colors Black on Black. The pinks are L.A. Colors Art Deco in Baby Pink and Intense Pink. Some of them look kind of crazy but I like my left ring finger and the candy stripe ones.

Sorry for the mess. It's late and I don't feel like fixing the cuticles and edges.
